I have an Giuliette accordion with a built in mic system. It sends a stereo mic signal out of a 1/4″ TRS jack (sorry, I don’t know what impedance the output is). I have various splitters and mixers and things to accommodate different gear, so I can also work with a single mixed mono signal through a 1/4 TS, or a split stereo signal through two 1/4 TS connections. I’d most likely chain in a pedal after splitting the TRS to two TS, isolating the effect to my treble side, leaving the bass side dry.
I’m looking for pedals that I can use to dial in organ sounds. I don’t think the B9, C9 or Key9 will track properly, since the accordion is played with such broad dynamic range, and since it doesn’t have a percussive attack. I also don’t see much benefit with these pedals, since I already have the ability to produce multiple registers and tones with the reed selection.
I was thinking maybe a few pedals together that might allow to dial into some of the sonic features of a B3 or a mellowtron:
-some sort of tremolo/chorus/filters to get the Leslie Cab/rotating speaker sound
-a subtle overdrive or bitcrusher to maybe dial into the Tonewheel sound and the organs powerhouse (very difficult with accordion, they tend to be shrill when amped with any kind of breakup)
Any one have any ideas? Has anyone tried using pedals in this kind of fashion?
I appreciate any feedback and ideas,
Thanks,
Rob T
