Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Pedal Power 2 Plus & Holy Grail (newest version) compatability?
Hi everybody, just wanted to ask if the Holy Grail (new one) can be used with the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus? It comes with a cable that looks like the official charger type but I’m not sure about the mA/milliamps compatibility. I know that each output on the PP2 can deliver 100 mA in normal mode, however, I heard that the Holy Grail (500mA psu) actually draws about 300mA, which is still too much for the outputs. Also output 5 & 6 can apparently be switched into 250mA each, which is still too weak. Is there any way I can use the PP2 as a replacement for the official Holy Grail power supply without a change in tone/ safety?
Thanks!!!
The Holy Grail draws 220mA (according to an email from EHX).
There are 2 outlets on the Pedal Power that have 9V/250mA (5 & 6).
Not sure but I don’t think it should be a problem.
Ok I think I might just give it a try. Thanks dsl1
Hi,
I just tried it & it worked fine.
I used Outlet 5 in the Normal Position.
I didn’t find the sound degraded at all.
yeh, i’ve just tried it too and its working fine, goodbye extra wall plug, hello simplicity, lol. Thanks again dsl1!! :rawk:
