im getting some new pedals today and i wondered if you guys could help and let me know where to put them in my chain
the pedals are
micro pog
white finger
big muff tone wicker
dr q
the chain i currrently use is
guitar
tu2
ns2 input
ns2 send
boss od3
english muff’n
mxr micro amp
stereo electric mistress
ns2 return
ns2 output
DMM
amp
effects loop
holy grail
i will be taking the boss od3 off the board i think so if you could suggest ways without the boss od3 that would be greatly appriciated
thanks again
well i don’t know about the micro pog and white finger, but i’d put the dr q after the ns2 and the big muff after the english muffn. i hope that helps a little.
i’d probably put the Dr Q and White Finger right before the Boss OD-3, and the Big Muff and Micro Pog between the English Muff’n and Micro Amp.
i’d keep the Dr.Q and White finger as close to the guitar as possible (i own/owned both of them)
and i’d put the muff after Boss OD3… i have a russian big muff and the sound with the TS-808-like OD before it is godlike (HEAVY)
about the micro pog… i’m not sure… i haven’t tried it yeat so i don’t know how the sound differs before/after anything… but at first i’d probably put it right after compressor to have the clearest tracking possible
thanks everyone for your replys
im now going to get the effects tomorrow
the way i shall do it is
guitar
tu2
ns2 in
ns2 send
white finger
dr q
boss od3
micro pog
big muff
english muff
mxr micro amp
stereo electric mistress
ns2 return
ns2 out
dmm
effects loop
holy grail
what do you think ?
yeah, give it a try :thumb:
although, the Dr Q reacts to your playing dynamics so that’s why i suggested putting it after the compressor.
the Micro Pog, in my experience can be used pre- or post-dirt; it still tracks perfectly after heavy fuzz but i found that with some Micro Pog settings, that if you run it into a fuzz/distortion it may get a bit muddy.
it’s all a matter of personal preference though.
yeah, exactly
but also – try the Dr.Q after White finger – as said…
