I’ve just been reading about the Clockworks pedal, which looks like a cool ‘centre of all things’ pedal for rhythmic control of any voltage-triggered devices. I have also recently purchased a ‘Freeze’ and I am considering a Superego.
Both the Freeze and Superego use ‘push-to-make’ switches to control sampling points. Many other devices use momentary switches as triggers, for example ‘punch-in/out’ recording, rack effect patch change/bypass, amp channel switches and so on. IF the Freeze/Superego had external footswitch inputs (easy to add I know but I don’t want to void my warranty just yet!) and IF the Clockworks had an option to provide a ‘closed contact’ pulse instead of a voltage pulse it could be used to synchronise the triggering of not only the freeze/superego but also any other devices that use ‘closed contact’ triggers. How cool might that be?
