I play bass guitar and would like to get some additional “string like’ quality sounds. I’m thinking of making some additions to my custom pedal board that includes the below listed pedals in the chain as numbered. Other than the Memory Boy, I am considering replacing my Micro Pog with the POG 2. I had used the Holy Grail(for swells) but like the Superego, Ravish Sitar and Cathedral reverb.
The bass specific pedals are placed on the bottom row of the board as I use them the most and would like to know the best order to place the “new” pedals after them and before the Strymon El Capistan echo. I have seen several different demos from Bill Rupert of EHX with different configurations and just checking to see what would be some possibilities before I make any modifications to the board.
1) Boss FV500H Volume Pedal
2) Whirlwind WT 2000 Stomp Tuner
3) MXR Bass Compressor
4) MXR Bass Fuzz deluxe
5) MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe
6) MXR Bass Envelope Filter
7) MXR Bass Octave Deluxe
EHX Micro Pog
9) EHX Memory Boy
10)Strymon El Capistan dTape Echo (stereo out to two Ampeg SVT amps)
