Hello, This my first time on the site and I am excited to tap into the community’s knowledge base. I recently purchased the Ravish Sitar to noodle around with while I explore East Indian music. I play with some friends where adding a sitar effect would definitely add that extra “something” to certain songs. (No pun intended George.) I play mostly acoustic and a little electric (Martin D35, Gurion S3M, and a Peavy T-60) I have been doing some research on expression pedals and wanted to see if anyone has a recommendation as a to what pedal would compliment the Ravish. I have been looking at the Next Level and the Dual Expression pedals. Any thoughts or advice would be very helpful. Peace, Ken
I like the traditional volume pedals like the EHX expression pedal.
The Boss/Roland exp pedals will work as well as M-audio and Mission exp pedals.
Some are big and heavy which are nice like the Roland units but you may like a smaller pedal.
THE best thing is to drop by a music store and try a few and see what feels right to you and your foot.
Its like getting shoes!
Thanks for the reply. It’s funny that you would use the trying on shoes analogy. I just happen to be one of those people blessed with large feet and a shoe size not carried in your average shoe store. Nevertheless, I get your point. I think a larger pedal might be in my future.
The BOSS – FV-500L or FV-500H would be great for you!
I have one.
