Ok guys im new here to the EHX community
I have had some trouble with the decition of what overdrive to buy seeing as my Boss Bd-2 finally broke. Now i liked the boss and do like other overdrives i suppose but EHX products have always served me well and i would like to at the very least review my options at EHX. I play a medley of blues, rock, funk, alternative, everything really. I have had my eye on the English Muffn OD but thought i would take advantage of everyones experience because this will be by far my most used pedal.

The old CMOS Hot Tubes is a pretty nice OD.
In my opinion the english muff’n (dialed in properly) is the best od known to man. Funk and blues galore, classic rock, throw another od pedal in front of the muff’n and it can easily do metal.
Thanks for all the info .. I guess my only question would be how does the muffn stack up against other (non EHX) OD pedals
again thanks — Ray
i would get the double muff. it seems pretty cool.
your sig is awesome – long live rhcp

red hot chili peppers, lyric is from toture me
from their album Stadium Arcadium. i don’t see how people hate SA so much. i really enjoy listening to it. my one friend said that all of the songs sound the same and when i showed him a song he was like “it sounds like the generic stadium arcadium song” and a lot of people say that it gets old after a while, but i like it more every time i hear it. i guess its because i’m a guitar player and i really like the guitar work that was done on the album.
i used to stack it with a boss od3 and occasionally an mxr +, and it stacked very well, but im now using it with a big muff tone wicker and that is awesome aswell !!!
the muff’n is deifnatly one of the most underated pedals ever and its bloody awesome
What about a valve amp?
