Well I just pulled the trigger on a Flanger Hoax for $125 on evilbay ! GREAT DEAL ! I have been hearing rumors that these are slated for discontinuation in the near future so get one of these “FREAK-OUT” machines while you can ! The price will sky rocket once this happens ! I see many hours of tweeking fun in my future !

1. Big Muff Pi (USA)
2. Small Clone
3. POG
4. Stereo Electric Mistress (lame-esque)
5. Metal Muff (Shouldn’t have ever bought it, just not my style, if I had one (a style that is). Here are the 3 current production EHX pedals that I have any desire to obtain (not that you care)
Small Stone (BIG)
Double Muff
USSR Big MuffJanuary 13, 2009 at 10:35 pm #90672toescantalkMember1. Hazarai (can start playing with this and forget what day it is)
2. Flanger Hoax (haven’t even started to learn what this toy can do)
3. Tube Zipper (when it’s good it’s really, really, really good)
4. Holy Stain (it’s 4th but reverbs are nearly always in use and the distortion dirt is perfect level for fat solos)
5. Double Muff (use mainly for giving the odd bassline some life at the mo)Next is an octave-enabler, though I’ve still to get to grips with these 5!

Yeah man I have been deeply engrossed with the Flanger Hoax ! I am currently working on some more subtle “usable” settings for performance with my band “EARMARK SAINTS” and have come up with two . One I call the “Leslie Follower” because it does the rotating , chorusy thing with a pitch bendy following tone , truly unique , I’ve never heard the sound before ! It has inspired a new song that I am currently working on ! I have also found something approaching the Gilmour “Animals” era Electric Mistress sound , which is easing my GAS for one of those over-priced beasts ! :thumb:

I have no idea what to name the settings i come up with.
I just number them.
January 17, 2009 at 4:47 pm #91004companymanParticipantYeah , I know what you mean ! There are so many possibilities in this box that coming up with names is daunting ! What I think I’m going to do is find sounds for specific songs in my bands set and just use the song titles! The trick will be being fast enough with all of the knob and switch changes for a live set ! Unlikely !!!

Unlikely !!! :doh:Yea thats the only bad part about the flanger hoax. I think it will take a lot of practice to switch to different settings fast. And it will be horrible trying to memorize them all. :freak:

all i’m really interested in now is a Graphic Fuzz and a Voice Box…and a tonebender or super fuzz. I don’t really think I want anything else at all, so I’m pretty content these days.
