ok so i have come to the conclusion that if im building anything that requires power beyond powering just a LED, i cant do it.
i have started out small and i cant get anything to work!
lpb-1 clone1 = cuts off signal when engaged no sound
lpb-1 clone2 = cuts off signal when engaged no sound
germanium fuzz face clone = no sound unless i increase power from 9V to 24V or use a driver before it
and then all i get is spatter noise bits.
electra distortion = no sound unless i increase power from 9V to 24V or use a driver before it
and then all i get is spatter noise bits.
oscillator = cuts off signal when engaged no sound
i assume it has to do with power, or am i confused and shouldn’t be connecting 9v- to ground, or what?
i know i am reading the schematics and wiring diagrams correct, using all the correct components, and have built each unit twice with the same issues.
any help, tips, or suggestions?
what layout are you using for offboard wiring?
it sounds like you have the switch/jacks or something wired incorrectly, need some pics, of everything.
does it match up with this here?

well testing with the electro distortion, since it has no other controls (it looks just like the diagram)
i tried to rewire to make it look like the diagram and it still dont work.
but i do get an effected signal if i run an extra wire from sleeve to sleeve ground on the jacks, and if i touch the sleeve and ring together with my finger on the input, but strangely it wont work at all if i hard wire it?!?!?!

do you have a multimeter? double check all connections and contacts.
