Home › Forums › Vintage EHX › Old BMS Power Supply Q
Hi,
I am currently the owner of a vintage Bass Microsynth. I couldn’t say what year exactly but it was discovered in the back of an old Traynor YBA-3 so we I presume from around then.
It uses a very old power supply. 3 prongs on the pedal end, screw on, the transformer is a big box with a light on it, not a wall-wart. I’ve used the pedal successfully a few times but the power supply is all but completely shot. I need to replace it, but I don’t really know anything about it.
I was hoping someone here might be able to enlighten me. Assuming that it’s possible, I am comfortable enough with electronics that I can do it on my own if I have the proper information. I just don’t really know how to go about finding the information. Googling EHX power supply usually just gives me a lot of info about the 9.6v adapters.
Does anyone know of any resources that would help me?
Cheers,
Adrian
Pics??
Here are some pics. It’s 4 pronged, not 3 pronged. My bad.

Thanks for taking a look. I appreciate it.
well im not sure what there called, my interest isn’t of the organ verity, but i had owned a Leslie unit once, and it had the same power adapters, its an organ accessory thing.
so sum one had modded the pedals power adapter to work with the organ style adapters.
and the power supply looks like sum personal mach up.
i would take it for repair service and have the standard power jack replaced back in.
Oh, interesting. I wasn’t aware that it wasn’t standard. That’s very helpful thanks. I think I might just get my hands on a volt meter and figure the specifics out myself then if it isn’t a standard thing.
