I think it looks like another home run for EH , I guess I was behind and saw it in a ProGuitars.com email newsletter and was thrilled to see what (to me) was missing in the Memory Boy , NAMM should be a successful one for Mr.Mathews and crew . Is having a SMMH and a Deluxe Memory Boy at the same time to much ? I had decided on buying the Cathedral Reverb but wanted to wait for Namm 2010 in January (just to drive myself crazy I guess) Hopefully I can afford both the Cathedral Reverb and then add the Deluxe Memory Boy (and keep the SMMH its so cool) I agree with EH being named Manufacturer of the Year
!! price points are fair, multiple models based on budegts and needs/desires and Made In The U.S.A.!
and unlike so many one trick pony effect pedals (IMO) EH always has that extra feature or two or three in there for sonic exploration. Happy New Years EH and the people that use their products and on the forum(s)ambienttales

January 10, 2010 at 6:57 pm #106287KestrelMemberI’m looking forward to hearing more about the Deluxe Memory Boy. Love my SMMH and I’m looking at getting a Cathedral as well. Damn! Gonna need a bigger pedalboard!!!

Sexy…January 15, 2010 at 9:09 pm #106462jwny72MemberI hope the gain knob allows for equalization of output when the DMB is engaged. I had the MB, and liked it for the most part, but returned it based on the way the blend knob functioned–when it was dialed back, it boosted the dry signal as it reduced the volume of the delays. This meant that disengaging and engaging the MB resulted in fluctuations in overall volume if repeats were set to be lower in volume than the dry signal. A dealbreaker for me.
Anyone know if the gain control on the DMB functions like a level control a la the DMM?

Sexy…nice, seems cool.
January 18, 2010 at 12:34 am #106533ToonsterMemberI really liked the sound! It seems very usable too, so I have to check it out soon!
January 19, 2010 at 5:57 pm #106597hexadeMemberNot sure if this has been brought up yet, but is this pedal true bypass? I would imagine it is, but it does not list that in the “quick specs” on the product page like other “memory series” delays that have TBP. Other than that, I am literally compulsively checking for updates as to when this thing is gonna be available!
January 20, 2010 at 10:22 am #106621ToonsterMemberWell there are buffering techniques that work better then True-Bypass..

Yes the GAIN knob allows you to equalize the volume when the effect is engaged vs. true bypass mode.

January 27, 2010 at 11:40 pm #106867Dr.EamerMemberHi, i cant decide for the moment if i should go for a Deluxe Memory man or Deluxe Memory Boy…
I own the Memory Boy ( non Deluxe) but if i compare it with the tone of the DMM it is much darker and the modulation is not in the same smoothness.
So how is the Deluxe Memory boy now?
Is it exactly the same circuit and chips for Modulation and Delay,as the Memory Boy or is it more like the Deluxe Memory man????A tone control for brighter/darker Delay adjustment would be very great!!!!!!!!!!
There are 2 things i like “in theory” about the DMB:
The effect loop
and the Tap tempo with rhythm control
When is it out in Europe for sale?????
And how long will the Deluxe Memory man be available in the future +/- ??????
Greetings.
