So long story short I tried to remove the knobs from my memory boy that I just traded for (probably no warranty :p) and the depth pots knob comes off WITH THE SHAFT!!! Well that sucks but fortunately I am no stranger to pedal repairs so I figure Ill pull out the PCB and put in a new pot. NOPE!!! I just have to ask how the heck did EHX get everything in there!?! It literally will not come out unless you can desolder the pots or power jack first!
I have an old Q-tron that is fantastic and has enough room to store a boss pedal inside! EHX now a days seems to cram everything in as tight as possible so its impossible to work on it and have to go through the hassle and expense of sending the pedal to them IF they would return my calls or emails!!!
Seriously EHX…Come on!
PS if anyone knows how to get these memory boys apart please PM me!!!

Without these space-saving parts there’s no way you’d fit a circuit like the Memory Boy into the box, it’d need at least a case the size of a vintage memory man one.
I was a little disappointed to find that this made modding the XO Little BMP impossible as I wanted to take out the tone stack, but nevermind! I bought a BMP Tone Wicker in the end anyways, as that already has the mods done to it
Side-Note; BMPTW is still the best muff in the world ever (in my opinion).

SMD components suck to mod. It can be done (did it on my behringer muff copy!) but its a pain. Also I would think if youre gonna buy a pedal to mod it, check out Generalguitargadgets.com. They have a muff copy and you can build any variation you like! AND it’s cheaper than an EHX! AND it uses real parts! AND you can get the damn thing out of the enclosure!!!!

As cool as EHX’s pedals are I must say their customer service is very disappointing

This Section of the EHX forum is a place where ‘forum members’ and ‘volunteer admin’ can

YOU can help other members out by answering their questions. It is NOT “electro-harmonix technical support” for their customers.

They don’t monitor the board as much as they should, best bet would be to keep emailing them.
