Bought a really nice vintage octave multiplexer. Fully functional until resently. Now it’s stone dead, been resoildering the battery connections and the only progress is that it now clicks when pushing on/off and bass button on the rear. Help? Does anybody know any “common” faults on this pedal??
make sure you have soldered the battery clip in the right direction or you risk to damage the circuit.
black side goes to input jack ring
then measure the voltage on the ICs and report
Thanks! I will check and measure! I’ll be back…
Hi again! I’ve checked the minus cable from the battery and it goes correctly to the ring of the input jack. I also measured all the Ic and get a value of 8,36V on each…???
do you have sound in bypass mode ?
No! That’s the strange thing…I just have small scratch sounds from moving the knobs or click when pushing the footswitch…
very likely you have a faulty footswitch. check its operation with multimeter. check also input and output jacks
