Hello,
i’m having an issue with my pedalboard power supply Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-1 Pro 8x 9 V DC @ max. 500 mA (individualy isolated). I measured voltage from PS and it reads 8.85V. Original PS reads 9.8V when i power pedal by board power supply its not working correctly on shim and poly its cutting the signal (switching on and off signal and blinking LED). Is it totally nescessary to power it with included PS or It needs to be above 9.6V all the time to work correctly or i have a bad pedal ?
Thank you for your reply.
If the pedal works fine with the EHX supply than your HB power supply is to blame.
Its under voltage and I bet under the proper current output.
Cheaper budget supplies are a constant problem. While fine for a simple analog fuzz tone they are under proformers for digital pedals that draw more juice.
Sorry
Thank you for reply. This power supply is not bad for that money. You think thats problem with current or undervoltage ?
Please try it with the supply that came with the pedal.
That will tell the story!
All the pedals on your board may have brought the power supply down below what the Oceans needs.
