I was walking today on talcahuano st. (Buenos Aires). there you have aprox. 6 music stores per 100m, so basically everything you want, it’s there. I had to buy a trumpet because this year i’ll go to a conservatory. Suddenly I ran into a DOM and I ask the price: US$200. I couldn’t believe it. (used gear like this is very very hard to find, and it’s really expensive). I tested it and it was beautiful. Now I have to work an extra month to pay for everything . bought it for US$185 (AR$740), it’s all original and in good condition. pots aren’t scratchy, and it functions pretty well. Don’t know what year is it.
TL;DR: my first vintage ehx

January 4, 2011 at 12:22 pm #113493viggy59Memberunless it’s been modded, the plug on it is for USA voltage input, which is 110 volts AC. dunno what the norm is in argentina, but if it’s 220 volts, get a transformer, or you WILL fry that thing.
if you’re not sure, take some pics of the plug on the pedal, and the outlets in your house and we may be able to point ya in the right direction, if it’s not a voltage issue…
good find by the way!!

Thanks! it sounds awesome on certain settings, and it works on 220v which is the norm here (220v ~50Hz)
Edit: my outlets are C type and the pedal has a type F plug, so it doesn’t fit.
January 4, 2011 at 7:03 pm #113502SanquiFlerbMemberAfter some research i found out that there are E and F type plug, used in europe that are bigger (but have the same shape) of the C plugs, that’s why maybe I can’t plug it in. Damn
January 6, 2011 at 2:15 am #113536SanquiFlerbMemberbought the correct adaptor, and it sounds awesome. the power light works sort of randomly, but it’s ok. The pedal sounds awesome solo and with chorus, but it doesn’t get along with my black muff. tomorrow i’ll post clips.
January 6, 2011 at 4:52 am #113541g00dhonkMemberdo you have the multilplexer before the muff? octave pedals love to be in front.
January 6, 2011 at 6:26 pm #113547TheGhostMachinaMemberI’m jealous. Good find! Can’t wait to hear it!

Today was a busy day. Between tonight and tomorrow I’ll have the clips ready and posted
