    I have a Wiggler tremolo/vibrato pedal that I bought used a while ago. When engaged, it makes a pretty loud humming noise. From what I read online, it seems like it’s a pretty noisy pedal. Here’s where I show how little I know about electronics – when I touch the pedal and another element in my chain (my guitar, say, or my amp) the hum goes away. So, I assume that the pedal isn’t effectively grounded. But, after opening up the pedal I don’t see any obvious loose connections. Any tips?

    It`s not inherently noisy.
    Somewhere on the web, there`s a description of possible reasons for hum on the wiggler,
    IIRC, and an easy way of how to get rid of it…

    IIRC, there’s a screw in the middle btwn the tubes that just needs to be tightened…let me see if I can find the discussion. In fact, I think I read something about loosening all the screws and re-tightening, but the one that comes to mind is the chassis screw between the tubes.

    EDIT: OK, here’s the thread with the guy who designed it chipping in with a solution:

    “see that chassis-screw under the grille right in the middle between the tubes?
    give it an itsy bitsy tiny twist with a screwdriver…    “

    Great, thanks for the replies, guys. I’ll give it a shot – it seems like I’m having the same issue as the guy who started the other thread (which I had been unable to find until you linked it) so I think it’ll work. Thanks again.
