I’m not sure if this is a new topic or not but couldn’t find it addressed anywhere. I’ve just purchased a new Soul Food through Chicago Music Exchange and so far I’m finding a lot to like about it. However, a lot of the info I read about talked of how it stacks so well with other pedals. I’m playing a Fender Tele and a Dearmond Les Paul clone through an 18 watt tube amp, Nace M-18r. This amp is basically dead quiet with no pedals engaged. There is a small noise increase with either my Boss BD-2 or SD-1 engaged. When I turn on the Soul Food, it makes a little bit more noise than either of the other two. If I stack the two Boss pedals, there is a noticeable hiss but if I try to stack the Soul Food with either one of the others, the hiss becomes unmanageable. Is this something that is normal to the Soul Food or could I be doing something wrong? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Since this posting I tried disconnecting the Soul Food from the pedalboard’s power brick and using the supplied adapter. I ran from the guitar straight to the S.F. right to the amp and still had some added hiss, significantly more than my other pedals. Is the S.F, just a noisier than average pedal or does it seem like I got a bad one? It’s not quite a week old yet.

I have the same issue. Guess they must be noisy pedals. :-(
