Hi Brittany, welcome to the forums.

Do you have any experience with soldering? Perhaps it is a loose wire and you could just solder it back. Open it up and take a look, and take a picture and maybe someone here can help you.

Otherwise, it could be a blown transistor. Which if you can solder you could also replace.

If all else fails you could always contact EHX about repairing it.

My money’s on a bad switch (or if you’re lucky a loose wire on the switch, but most likely the switch). You should be able to get a new one for $10.

I have two Russian Big Muff’s and let me tell you, they are the most finicky pedals I have ever owned. I bought the first one from a pawn store and the volume only worked between 11 and 2 o’clock so it wasn’t loud enough to use but I loved the sound. So I bought a new one to rewire the old one! I rewired it and they both worked fine. Then I did the Green mod and Tone switch mod to the new one and now it’s volume is all weird (only works from 6 to 12 but it seems to encompass the whole range of volume so it gets plenty loud, it sounds especially cool. Regardless I have had to constantly tinker with these pedals to keep them working. The wires they use are very thin and cheap so jostling could easily break off a wire. Also if you took the feet off then you lose the ground as it’s connected to one of the feet so you can’t do this! Open it up and have a look, take some pics, and then maybe we can get you in the right direction.
