Please make a Sax/Horns/Flute and Strings/Pads/Synth machines. that would be a great addition to B9, C9 and Key9 pedals. We Need it!!!August 27, 2015 at 7:01 pm #120870theodorMemberI think a better idea could be:
-open up the inner workings, so you could have an additive synth type pedal (which is what the b9,c9,key9 and HOG appear to be)
-It could have more intuitive controls than the hog but more harmonics, like dialing in a square wave instead of changing individual harmonics.-or the actual pedal could be like the B9, just mostly the presets and a couple of knobs, but load new ones with USB, so EHX can release patches like the Eventide H9.
-then on the PC have the more complicated program that you could edit things, like Harmor Additive Synth…if you really want to get complicated you could even load in samples like Harmor and get pretty weird (although i expect processing power is too much for that kind of detail at affordable price).

Trumpet
Mute Trumpet
Sax
Tower of power ( 4 part harmony tpt-sax-tpt=sax from low to high)
Oboe
Clarinet
Flute
French Horn
Ensemble( Bassoon to start with, but as you turn up a control it first brings in flute to top notes, then fills in any mid harmony with fr horn clarinet oboe)…or simpler, but you get the idea.January 29, 2018 at 3:07 am #123526Syash62MemberThe Mel9 is great, and I use it routinely, But the sax on it is inadequate. Yes I know it’s based on the Melotron but a dedicated Sax9 would be fantastic.
Please gentlemen, put your genius minds together and implement a pedal
that even Steve Gregory, Dick Perry, and Raphael Ravenscroft would be envious of.We’re asking for a serious sax sound. Perhaps you could take inspiration from the above mentioned names.
Thanks to all you do! Keep up the great innovative work gentlemen.
Sincerely, Ivan S.p.s. I’ve tried to filter the sax on the Mel9 through various stomp pedals in order to increase it’s
frequency and fullness, but the thin baritone just doesn’t cut for me. sorry. -
