I figured I’d post this here first rather than to the support email…
I just purchased a Big Muff Pi and Deluxe Memory Man and notice that there is visible adhesive residue on the bottom of both pedals. The Memomy Man appears to have had 2 stickers on it (based on the shape of the residue) and the Big Muff appears to have had something – a sticker or tape – just below the battery compartment.
The question is, are these pedals supposed to have stickers on the bottom of them or is there a logical reason this residue is there?
I paid a pretty penny for the pair so want to be sure I got what I paid for.
Thanks!
Well I guess it’s standard to have some sort of sticker/adhesive residue in EH pedal bottoms? I just got another EH pedal with a similar residue on the bottom side.
Does it really matter? Just clean it off.
Sorry
I am looking into it now!
Well, it matters from the standpoint that I want to make sure that when I purchase New vs. Used, I am really getting what I paid for. That’s the only thing I’m trying to determine here.
Typically, on pedals from other manufacturers, there are FCC stickers and serial information and possibly other pertinent details. Seeing the outline of a what looks like 2 stickers on the die cast box and tacky adhesive on the bottom of the Big Muff made me wonder.
I’ve since been contacted and it’s been clarified from support for me so as far as I’m concerned, case closed.
Thanks all!
