hello, just got a micro synth and i can’t figure out if the issues im noticing are inherent in the design, or if there are any issues with the box i have…
i have noticed issues mainly with the sub octave voice (these are not really present with the guitar, octave or square wave voices)
1. when striking a single note, the sub octave jumps around (from octave to octave)
2. when the synth cuts out it has a static sound that comes through the mix
_
i recorded a simple sample of this — i would appreciate it if other micro synth owners would be willing listen and let me know if you think it is defective or normal behavior?
i alternate between hitting single notes to highlight the octave jumping + hitting quick notes in succession to show the static that i have been noticing
thanks for your time! /d
got an email from ehx on this — sounds like the octave jumping is perfectly normal — got to learn to love its quirks
yeah a lot of analog octavers do that, I think what they do is as the note decays, it starts to octave the harmonics instead of the fundamental.
