hi I’m selling lots of stuff like my bassballs small clone and my big muff for pedalboard friendly pedals
First i’m in need a fuzz or distortion, which would work better ( I play indie, heavy rock and like to experiment as well)
Next some sort of modualation pedal nano small stone maybe
they don’t have to be ehx
I have a double muff and a tu-2 tuner which will stay so hopefully I can all nano sized pedals
Thanks

Heavy distortion – Boss Mega Distortion
February 16, 2010 at 5:29 pm #107564Mr.GrimMemberwell first i would need to suggest EHX obviously, not only because were on there site, but because there number one in my book!
second choice is, try the EH-Man’s own site! http://www.ronsound.com Ron makes true clones with sum optional mods, of vintage EH pedals like Big Muffs ct…as well as other brands, in small die-cast enclosures!
third i would suggest checking out Devi Ever effects, i personally have not used them yet, but i have seen many youtube demos from her site, and they all seem awesome! there small boutique pedals with sweet graffix. (i know looks is the last thing to look for but they still look good) and sum of her pedals are based on other vintage units as well. also made in small die-cast enclosures.

February 17, 2010 at 2:35 am #107607firesgt911MemberI have a Devi Ever Vintage Fuzz Master and I gotta say that it isn’t for the faint of heart! Not really the easiest pedals to use, but once you get into the groove with them, they really sing!

Other recommendation I’d have would be to check out some of Catalinbread’s offerings. Especially the SFT. I’ve been GASSING for one of those for awhile.

Truth. Got the SFT for X-mas, it’s everything it’s cracked up to be, and has been a mainstay on my board ever since.
For bass, the best sound I’ve gotten is turning both the treble and bass all the way down, and you get really punchy mids, with the gain at about noon.

March 17, 2010 at 4:03 pm #108590TheCapitalJMembersounds crappy, then again Jason Spencer makes everything sound bad

i don’t, but i have a zvex fuzz probe and its really cool! its a little difficult to figure out how it works, but once you figure that out, you can get some really great sounds out of it. i recommend buying one if you get enough money from what you’re selling.
March 20, 2010 at 6:08 pm #108673TheCapitalJMembertried a proco rat out today it sounded very very very bright even with the fiter down. The guy plugged me into a bass amp i dont know why but i really want to like it cos it’s had so many good reviews. i used a american strat ( i’ve got a humbucking guitar im an idiot for not using a humbuckig guitar) so does not sound as good with single coils or something?
I know Alex Turner uses/used one

bass amps are trebly so that’s why the Rat sounded like that.
(guitar amps/speakers only output a very limited range of frequencies, and most of the treble is filtered off. bass and keyboard amps have a MUCH wider frequency range.)ProCo Rats are great pedals and very versatile.
