ooh! i wonder if they would put out a drum machine, maybe a reissue in an xo box.
May 22, 2010 at 4:58 am #107323grant2playMemberso many pedal companies are reissuing their old classics like ADA,MXR,Proco, and they are selling like hot cakes, its true that EHX puts out something “new” in these kinds of events, but some customers are more inclined towards the old EHX classics.
May 22, 2010 at 5:12 am #107304grant2playMemberXO,non XO,classic chassis, nano chassis – these shapes and sizes dont matter to me. I just want the same sounds/tones vintage EHX modulation pedals had. OK, I’ve been dreaming too much.
May 22, 2010 at 12:30 pm #107275BlueSteelParticipanti’m hoping to see a nano small clone, germanium muff, and really hoping to see a hog2. a synth seems really great, because i’ve been looking into getting one eventually, and an EHX one would be even better!

I think the closest is ‘Music Live’ at the Birmingham NEC… that’s Novemeber I think.. and there’s also the ‘The Professional Lighting and Sound Association’ trade show at earl’s court. Neither are quite the same thing, but may be worth a look.
May 24, 2010 at 5:07 am #105632So they’ve got that “Space Is The Place” video on the blog and pretty much everything in the description points to some sort of synthesizer or drum machine or both machine at NAMM… I’m feeling a Space Drum of the 21st century and possibly some sort of EHX synth. Seriously, read the description:
“In the 1970s Electro-Harmonix was the consummate innovator in the design of wildly creative instruments that have had a profound effect on the evolution of sonic and rhythmic textures. Space is the Place was created with EH percussive and synthesis instruments that display a cutting edge sonic creativity that clearly pointed to the future.”
The implicit “percussive and synthesis instruments” gloating and ‘pointed to the future’ seem to be pointing to a little somethin somethin.
May 24, 2010 at 8:57 pm #104875ToonsterMemberThat was exactly what I was thinking!

mmm, I don’t know about that..
“This composition showcases various electronic devices made in the 1970s by ElectroHarmonix. In addition to a DRM-15 Digital Rhythm Matrix, a DRM-16, a DRM-32, a Clap Trap, an Electronic Crash Drum and a Super Space Drum, we have two MiniSynths, both of which required some rehabilitation. Each sounds completely different from the other. In this composition one is panned left; the other panned right. The track was recorded live in two passes, the first with the rhythm machines and the bass MiniSynth and then the second with the lead MiniSynth. For small, primitive devices, they make a lot of sound!”
I don’t think that has anything to do with what might be at Namm… but who knows?
May 26, 2010 at 4:00 pm #105015StephengilesMemberI sat in the room next to Joe Truchess when he was designing the Space Drum at EH UK in 1980 – very strange noises, but a very clever circuit. A VCF using the envelope generator from the Space Drum would be a good product.

? Summer Namm 2010 (or announced before hmmm…) a re-issue of the Freedom Amp (pine natural finish (to go with the 22 Caliber Amp (Battery and AC) their is a online form of battery operated guitar amps (seriously) :poke: , * You can still pull that one up (at least recently) at Amazon.com , I would like a EHX expression pedal with their Karma and name on it for the increasing and current effects that have a expression pedal input (why let the other companies who also sell effects +) make that profit?
drum machine interesting based on posts ,or small synth or a sampler or Kaoss type unit …
small, not very expensive, fit in pocket, like the 22 Caliber amp? EHX can pull it off and get more
awards ! Just like the Cathedral Reverb did for them (as well as Manufacturer of the Year plus Product of The Year Have a Cigar Mr. Matthews! and staff.
