Haven’t even had a go with the Freeze yet. I’ve been really busy the past couple of days, so I apologize for the delay. I’ve been trying to fall in love with the Germanium Muff. I like the Distortion side (love the ‘Volts’ knob), but the Overdrive side has almost no grit at all. I gotta play with it some more and give the Freeze a good try out. Yes, I work at a music store.
with both channels engaged can you get anywhere near a Big Muff tone, or is it nothing like a Big Muff?
WatsonWood I believe some time ago we talked about the viability of such a pedal,
I sure am glad that Electro Harmonix have listened to our requests and put the thing into production.
What other company would go out on a limb and do this?! Certainly not any that I can think of.
Best wishes for the arrival of your Freeze unit and happy playing!
Paul.
My G4BMP rolled in yesterday off the mail truck. I cannot wait to get home and test this puppy out today!!!
I have the Freeze since yesterday. It’s cool but very very tricky to work with, due to the footswith. It’s not a momentary switch but a latching switch, which kinda doesn’t make any freaking sense considering how the pedal works.
isn’t there a momentary mode?
Yes, there is.
But the problem is the footswitch itself. It doesn’t make sense to have a latching switch in a momentary effect.
Well theoretically it shouldn’t matter because you can program a momentary switch to act like a latching switch or vice versa. Of course they will still feel different.
i’m thinkin its about time some REAL demos of these wonderful things surface. :poke:
tone factor just posted one
oh nice! good lookin out, julian :rawk:
yeah, tonefactor is on my youtube subscriptions. Helps out!
not sure if this has been posted in the forums yet..
!!! thats awesome!
It sounds really good. I kind of want it even though I really don’t need it.
