Already posted somewhere about this…
can anyone help me with my DEM?
I have an old EH Deluxe Electric Mistress flage filter matrix.. its from early 84 according to the pot, but the insides look like the photos of the one from around 79. but the one webstire diagnotic chart thingy said its from 82? i think? I’m thinking i bought it new in fall of 84, so the early 84 pot date makes sense.. they usually had a letter with the numbers but mine didnt.. seems to be a type 4.
it had some thin blue wires, some went to the stomp switch.
it needs a stomp switch, it started to act fickle about a year later..85 or 86 i think, but we couldnt send it to EH to fix it since they didnt exist, i was told..
if i knew someone who had one like mine, i could look at the wires and see where they went to, but i dont. the little blue wires..for the stomp switch, came off the board, i think there were two wires there.. the one is soldered in, so it is probably right, the other one fell off is the other problem. should be simple enough to look at it and solder on a similar wire, if youre familiar with this kind of thing.
would be nice to find a stomp switch that matches the original exactly, if i can.. and if not, i guess it doesnt matter so long as it works right. someone might make a better stomp switch anyhow.. i scanned the inside s of the boad.. and also took photos, if that might be of some help.
someone recmmended some guys in here.. well, if you can help with this, et me know.. if i can at least fine where the wire connects to the board that would be a major help. i dont want to guess and get it wrong and mess up my DEM more than it is, or get zapped. zappage is something we tend to avoid, ya know. thanks!

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems most of the Deluxe EM connect the switch at the same place on the board. (red dots)
And the switch can be rewired using a DPDT switch like this
The pot dates only date the pot and not the pedal and are not the final effect assembly date, just an approximation.
