Home › Forums › Vintage EHX › Need help identifying my Bass Micro Synth
No serial number and can’t seem to find information regarding this sweet pedal other than this is not the first issue beacuse of the AC adaptor. Can somebody please help me identify the year it was made? The back has a black cover and a little hole where you can access the trim pot, nothing more.
Can’t tell anything from the outside, have a look inside for a date on the PCB or failing that, the codes off one of the slide pots.
Thank you, Scruffie. I think I found a serial number printed on the board. It reads PC7901-2C. I googled the “code” and I did find some threads regarding EHX but none cleared my doubt. Do you know what it means?
I couldn’t find any information engraved on the slide pots.
P.S. The pic of the board is taken from another site but mine reads exactly the same.
1996 ?
found this schematic via effectsdatabase

I think you’ll find PC7901-2C is a revision reference number rather than a date code, you’ll have to look at the other PCB or the pots to get an idea as I said.
Raf I think that’s someones personal redraw of the vintage schematic, my factory one has a ’98 copyright on it so it could be from then until when they switched to the xo.
Got it Scruffie
Thank you both, Rafmax and Scruffie. It seems it is a late 90’s issue. Have a nice day!
