Hello everyone ! all new on the forum I am delighted to be able to ask my questions! (and possibly help with my little technical skills)
So here I am saxophonist and I want to play loops over ableton live sets.
I want to stick a looper in sync with Ableton live.
SO : 45000 or 95000? both work well with the midi? I like the 45000 especially with the fact of being able to keep it close to my hands with the pedal on the ground, but I think that the “undo” and the power of the 9500 can facilitate my task in composition. except that I would like to have the faders in control “hands” and a pedal to manage the launch of loops or rec quans I am at the sax. (like the 45000.
The “undo” really helps the task?
Ideas ? advices ? Thank you in advance for the answer you will bring me! ????????
As far as MIDI goes, their functionality is similar. The 95000 adds MIDI Clock CX mode where it does not require a MIDI START command to properly follow MIDI Clock. So essentially in EXT. CLOCK CX mode the 95000 works as in the same as it does when using its internal tempo, just that it uses the tempo received at the MIDI IN port. Remember to enable Quantize on mode on either of the loopers when syncing to external MIDI Clock.
You can use generic MIDI Foot Controllers to control the 95000 but people do like how well the 45000’s remote integrates with the main unit.
Based on your needs, really the one thing you’re not getting with the 45000 is undo/redo and easy erases with your foot.

Thank you for these specific details! No chance that the firmware of the 45000 integrates an Undo? (I do not think it’s necessary for me if I strengthen my loopman skills, but that would be the ultimate update!
I have the luxury of being able to compare the two since a friend lends me a 45000 and I already have 95000 since yesterday .
My heart leans rather for the 45000 with regard to its intuitive side.
I start exploring the machines and also its characteristics midi, I think I had the looper on the table and a little switch to the foot suits me better, the main thing for me is to be able to select the loops foot and manage the faders by hand and synchronize the pedal on the rhythm of my DAW.
Thanks again for these tips !!!
Once you have version 1.14 on your 95000, you can access CX mode by first ensuring you’re in internal clock mode and then press the EXT CLOCK button three times. The EXT CLOCK button blinks at a medium speed when set to CX Mode.
To access or check your EXT CLOCK mode, you can also press the PAGE button so that the MIDI CH/SYNC LED is lit. The right two digits will display your current clock mode:

No, the 45000 will not be updated for UNDO.
The workflow of the 45000 and 95000 are very similar. You can use just about any generic MIDI foot controller to control the 95000, if that helps.
