Hi! I need a power distortion. Big Muff i think more fuzz than distortion, but the Russian Big Muff have less Fuzz character but it’s still Fuzz. How about Hot Tubes. I can’t find a good demo of it. I need in sound something like Boss DS’s, but i don’t satisfied on it. DS-1 has volume lose & bad bass respones, DS-2 – buzzy…
The hot tubes isn’t made anymore but EHX just told us that they are re-issuing the last 300 hot tubes pedals, after that they will be no more.
The Metal Muff is a super cool distortion, contrary to popular belief its not a big muff derivative, it is a high gain distortion. Check out the full sized version with 3 band EQ.
Its the best high gain distortion I’ve ever played. It has excellent bass response BTW!
Cranked, its a fuzz. Set it lower, a distortion. Then you got the eq. You can even run the eq alone. So basically 2 pedals in 1. For around $140, thats a sweet deal.
