Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Nano Clone with SKB Pedalboard power?
Hi, all–I’m new here. I just recently bought a Screaming Bird, a Soul Preacher, and a Nano Clone that just arrived today. The first two are great so far.
The Nano Clone says not to use daisy-chain power. (I understand this is a result of having a positive ground in the pedal, iirc.) Would it be OK to use one of the power cords from my SKB pedalboard, or will that cause the same problem? I wasn’t sure if that was electrically different from using a completely separate power supply or not.
Thanks…
scott
It has to have either it’s own supply or it can be chained with other positive ground effects. If the outputs of the SKB aren’t electrically isolated, you can’t use it. SKB doesn’t really tell you if they’re isolated so you’ll need to contact them.
Thanks, Ron–I appreciate it. I’ve written to SKB; until I hear from them, I’ll just use a battery.

In case anybody else needs to know–SKB says that the PS-55 board has isolated outputs, but the PS-45 and PS-15 do not.
