I just bought a Small Stone Nano for having a really basic and good sounding phaser. Unfortunately even if i have the level all down, the pedal sounds in the high sweeping tones like a ring modulator and not like sweet phasing.
My effect chain is Ibanez WH7-Boss OS2-Boss OD1-Ibanez DE7-Digitech Digiverb- Whammy-Boss Terra Echo-Small Stone-Ibanez CF7-Boss SL20
Did you have same experiences? Is it probably because of my effect chain?
Try the small stone before your Terra Echo. In fact, I’d put all your mod before your delay… that’ll probably change it to the sound you’re looking for.
Thanks for the help. I’ve tried Small Stone by itself just in front of the amp. Sounds Great !
But anywhere in the effects chain it’ll sound more or less Ring Modulator like. I even tried it just in the beginning (only Wah before it). Sounded a little bit better. But still not like it should.
What a pitty. Standalone its a great phaser. But just doesn’t work with my effects.
