So today out of nowhere my POG decided to stop working! a good hour earlier it was working perfectly fine, but now it doesn’t do anything. weirdly enough the “on” light will turn on, but it seems as though even with the light on it is permenantly stuck in bypass. I unscrewed the bottom and all of the visible connections were still intact and everything was fine, so i have no idea whats up i havent even been able to gig with this boy yet. and as far as getting it repaired, I dont have any of the receipts/warranty things anymore.. is there anyway it can be fixed?
thanks for any help
You can get it fixed without a warranty by EHX, it just costs a little bit.
Email info@ehx.com and they can give you more details, and a claim number. If they don’t get back in a few business days, email them a 2nd time, they get a lot of email to respond to.
yes this will be the 2nd time they haved fixed my pog, im just wondering if anyone else has had trouble with theirs.. or if something is typically prone to breaking within them
Same thing happened to me!! Half way through a rehearsal, the thing just crapped out. I went to switch on and on came the light but no effect, same sound as if stuck in bypass.
Had a look inside but like you, nothing looked out of place.
You say you have had repairs done out of warranty was it expensive?
I had to run out and get a new pog, and upgraded to a pog2 not happy at all. All of the character has been swept out of the new version, I want my massive old pog back.
Jimi
ive ran into this problem a couple times before with my CryBaby and my V1 Small Stone, turnes out its all ways the footswitch itself crapping out. parts inside the switch itself snap or break.
i keep spares around for any future problems, but IMO a faulty switch isn’t sum thing to sweat over, it could be a lot worse.
well its definitely something alot worse than the switch..
but Jim – yeah the out of warranty repair is really cheap, definitely worth it despite the time it takes to ship it (for me since im on the west coast shipping it to the east)
