Hi all, new member here. I have used many EHX effects in the past. Last acquisition was a Holy Grail Neo, mainly because of the Plate reverb.

Upon testing it for the first time, I got the impression that there is a steep curve of the reverb mix. I have to set it about 9 o’clock at maximum to get a guitar sound with a balanced reverb mix. At 12 o’clock it might be good for more ambient stuff but beyond this point the effect becomes unusable (for my conventional playing at least).

Is this on purpose or it might indicate a problem with my unit? Does the level of the instrument has to do anything with it? (I use active pickups)

Would a substitution of the potentiometer help? I would love to be able to sweep between a spectrum of sounds that I find usable.

Apart from that I love the simplicity, ergonomics and sound of the unit.

That sounds like normal operation and the way it was designed.

As you turn it up you are getting 100% effect and some guys want that when using an effect send and return on their amp.
Just set it where it sounds good. Where you have it is where I had it for the video demo of the unit.
