Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › My EHX Small Clone suddenly had an intermittent switch issue
I always use my EHX Small Clone in live band settings in Church and yesterday it’s now causing issue like sometimes cutting of the sound when I step on it. Really a let down… first EHX pedal that crapped out on me.
I’ve already checked the insides and I don’t see anything wrong. It seems that all are intact.
Any ideas on this?
Are you running on battery or power supply?
Does the LED go out or just the sound?
Does it stay out or just go dead for a split second?

* I’m running it on Power Supply
* The LED is on, it’s just the sound that sometimes cuts off.
* It’s just for a milli-second that it cuts out.
Thanks a lot!
I believe that’s a very common occurrence with the 3PDT footswitch EH uses. Most of the time you can switch fast enough to not really notice it but if you do it just right you can get some dead air in the signal.
Nothing really wrong with the pedal, just a peculiarity of the switch.

Ok man… I’ll check it out again later.
Sucks I had to resort to using a Danelectro CoolCat Chorus, the little blue one. The sound is ok but it just doesn’t feel ‘right’ without my EHX.
I must be the luckiest guy around as I’ve never has one single problem with an EHX pedal. No wires coming loose, switches popping or cutting out, LED’s not working etc. I’ve experienced non of it.
