    Hi there!!

I’ve been an avid fan of Electro-Harmonix’ legendary Small Clone chorus pedal for quite some years now. In fact I love it so much that I recently bought a second one for my guitar rig (the first one is stuck on my bass pedalboard)!

Now I was surprised (and frankly: even a bit disappointed) to find the following sentence in the instruction sheet of my brandnew SC:
“This equipment has been tested and found to be comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC rules”.

    ???
Does this mean the recently produced Small Clone pedals are not any longer analog???

I would love to have some information on this.

cheers and thanx in advance for your thoughts and/or information,
    Danny

no, it’s still analog. it just follows the same standards. and if you don’t believe me, try this test. put a new battery in it, and leave it on for a few hours. if the battery is dead when you come back, it’s digital. if it still runs like nothing happened, then it’s analog.

    Ok thanx!!
In the meantime I’ve tested both Small Clones (old and new) together, and they sound EXACTLY the same. So it’s still the same technology.
