It appears this is the place to find out why my brand new Bass Big Muff won’t work on my effect send loops, I’ve tried it with two quite different bass heads and no go…inline it’s fine, and it ain’t the loops because my chorus works fine on both…any answers tech guys?
thanks
I think you answered it yourself ……….. ‘inline it’s fine’ ….. nobody puts fuzz pedals in effects loops because it would be ‘post-preamp’ on the amp, fuzz pedals usually work best before anything else… ie, directly recieving your guitar signal.
OK, this is interesting, I’ve been playing live gigs for 40 years with NO “escape for crap player” effects and just decided to branch out for some fun in my old age, so I’ve been a dedicated pure signal chain guy so far, and the idea of effects and circuitry of any kind impeding my basic tone has been a major NONO, which explains my use of effects loops on both my tube and portable digital rigs, so I’ll take that on board to chew over! Still the question remains…why does this happen..not being an electrical engineer, I need this explained just for my own interest!
thanks
