Ok, I tried it, and it does work, however an engineer friend wrote this to me in an email:
“Please note, the switchblade is just a passive A/B switch for splitting signals, I would not recommend combining signals with a “Y” connection like the switchblade.
See this Rane Tech Note regarding ‘Why not to use a “Y” for combining’ http://www.rane.com/note109.html “
Rane describes using a A/B switch as a mixer can be dangerous to the device receiving the output. In my case, the Axefx 2 I use.
Opinion?
Switch Blade PLUS Dangerous???????????
How, each leg is loaded with a resistor. This is not a power amp.

So, you are saying that the Switchblade Plus is a Unbalanced Summing Box? (based upon what I read on the Rane website?)
I am running the STRINGS setting on my SYNTH9 & ORCHESTRA on my MEL9 in parallel using a Decibel11 A/B/Y & then putting the EHX PLATFORM after the pedals & the sound is fantastic. Before the PLATFORM I was having trouble getting the two pedals individual volumes right, but with the PLATFORM the result is spectacular.
Great!
The platform sure can make things come together like a great soup!
Although I am finding it a bit tricky to get used to, when i get it right the thing sounds great. It’s my first stereo compressor, so I’m still trying to get my head around that. I am very happy that the channels sound like they do not have crossover problems, but I am having a hard time figuring out how to deal with the pumping that comes up sometimes. It’s hard to tell which channel is causing the problem since the meter doesn’t indicate each channel. I assume they are summed somehow.
Otherwise another EHX hit !
