hey guys, i was thinking about getting an envelope filter but im kind of puzzled by the choices. my main question is if the riddle is a q tron + distortion, and if the q tron can do everything that the micro q tron and the newer doctor q, plus other features. and do you guys have a favorite? which would be the winner? thanks
Never tried a Dr Q or Micro QTron but I actually just got a Riddle on Monday and it blows the QTron outta the water. It’s just so damn customizable and the possibilities seem nearly endless, because the effect is based on how the 8 knobs interact and your playing style/volume.
The Riiddle is only $50 more than the QTron, so I think that would be your best bet. But I’m sure there’s some people out there who would be overwhelmed by the Riddle and might prefer the QTron cuz its simpler.
thanks for the reply! but do you know if the riddle can do everything the qtron does? or is there some kind of difference between the 2 (besides additional features on the riddle)?
I don’t own a Q Tron, I’ve only tried ’em out, so I’m not 100% sure but I’ve never heard a Q Tron do ANYTHING, and I mean anything, the Riddle can’t. Except for the Q Tron + has that effects loop so that’s one thing the Riddle doesn’t.
thanks a lot! i think we have a winner than, im going for the riddle
Hell yeah, I woodnt trade my Riddle for anything, not even a MuTron III clone.
