I recently got a Mike Matthews Dirt Road Special. It was in an offer i could not say just no!
The thing is, i read online that this amp series was equipped with a greenback Celestion speaker. Mine not. Here are the pics!

What do you think? Was the amp modified or is it just “another Version” with different speaker?
I searched online and i think this is an Oxford Speaker. Any ideas? Better or worse?
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
No idea if it’s original or not. I haven’t had the opportunity to look in very many of those.
Should be Ok – has this huge magnet similar to the Celestion.
Thanks for the answers! Another guy on a forum said more or less the same. That the magnet looks huge and possibly it is an Oxford Speaker of the higher category let’s say.
Any ideas how much the amp worths more or less?
Hey there.
I came across this in researching my DRS, also unsure whether the speaker is original/ correct or not- but it seems these must be the original speakers, as mine is very similar to the one in this amp.
It’s stamped with p / 30 / 850x, then 1762, then z-8. Possibly an OEM oxford RCF tranducer?
