Hi, I have the first version of the Mig 50 reissue (not the MKII). I noticed in the manual for my version to turn the standby switch on before turning on the power switch. Is this correct? Other tube amps I’ve had were power switch first then standby switch (the MKII manual has this as well). Can anyone from Electro-Harmonix clarify? I’ve tried emailing but never received a response. Thanks!

Actually I sent the message via the ehx website form (https://www.ehx.com/support/). Please help to get my question to someone who would know. Thanks!
It is fine to leave the Standby switch in the off position while the MIG-50 powers up, and then several seconds later, engage the Standby switch.
At the time we released the manual with instructions to engage the Standby switch before the Power switch, we were having trouble with failures in the power supply circuit, and we believed the Standby circuit might have been part of the problem. We have since determined the Standby switch was not the problem.
What did you determine caused failures in the power supply circuit?
It was fixed before release. For more info Please write info@ehx.com
