I’ve realized that the upper octave on my new MS isn’t really working – just sounds dirty and distorted but no higher in pitch than the original note.
I’m using an Epiphone SG (with the standard humbuckers) and haven’t adjusted the internal gain on the pedal, could this be the reason the upper octave isn’t working?
Okay, by comparing the sounds I can get with my guitar with those I get using my wife’s strat I realise it’s all a question of playing with the trigger for each new sound as well as making sure you strike the strings pretty hard.
One thing should be noted about the micro synth: A lot of settings sound like the thing is broken! It does take soem times to get used to and learn what sounds good.
When I got mine I was certain it was broken but when I put in some sample settings that came with it I knew it worked.
Anyways,it wasn’t for me and I sold mine to some guy in Russia. I think I’d like the POG/HOG better.
There is an internal trimpot that you can adjust to make the triggering more or less sensitive. I have 2 microsynths – one set for low output pickups, and another set for high output pickups.
