Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Micro Synth PREAMP GAIN ADJUSTMENT: Trim Pot adjustement
Hi all,
I just bought a used Micro Synth and read about the PREAMP GAIN ADJUSTMENT being factory set for single coil PUs. I use principally Strats and Teles…
Not knowing if the previous users had tweaked the Trim Pot, is there anyway to know VISUALLY how to reposition the trim pot to the factory settings?
I cannot see any numbers on the dial (trim pot)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Les Van Perfek
A picture wont be able to accurately tell you anything as trim pots vary in tolerance and a setting on one trim/pedal wont necessarily be identical on another, not to mention all the other components playing a part in it.
Just read the manual about it and adjust it till it sounds good in bypass mode. Either that or just bypass the pre-amp, its what I done with mine as I didn’t like the sound of it in bypass mode. You will need a multi meter to do so.
Thanks guys for this information. Much appreciated!
