Hi,
I use software synths to play live, and although these are highly flexible, the overall tone can sometimes be a bit cold, so I’m looking to try out some guitar effects as a way to add more colour to my sounds. In particular I’m looking at the EHX Micro Synth pedals.
The synths sounds I use range from deep sub bass, and sharp buzzy sawtooths to ethereal pads – and I’m wondering which would be best suited to working with this range of sounds – the standard micro synth or the bass version.
I don’t want to lose any of the low end, but at the same time I want to make the most of my high freq pads.
Any suggestions?
thanks, Liam
get a nice analog compressor for the output of your interface. really. This is from a synth guy.
