Hey everybody
I got a micro synth yesterday, and when I plugged it and tried to adjust the trim I didn’t hear anything. Only when I turn my amp up all the way can I hear a very quiet and distorted guitar tone. I’ve checked my cables and I’m using the power adapter that EHX gave me. Any ideas? IS the pedal a lemon?
Thanks.
Did you set the sliders the way EH says to before adjusting the gain?
Try hitting the switch a few times, it could be a bad switch.
Also, did you play with the sliders at all?
yeah I set it up exactly the way the book said. and the switch doesnt seem to do anything.
You should easily here the gain adjust if you’ve set it up right, its very noticeable. Does the effect work normal other than that?
I don’t hear anything unless my amp is up all the way, and even then its very quiet and very distorted. and none of the sliders seem to do anything.
Try some of the example settings that come with it, if they don’t work contact EHX or take it back to the store for a replacement.
well like i said my guitar doesnt come through at all unless my 40 watt tube amp is up all the way, and even then it sounds thin and distorted as if the pedal wasn’t getting any power even though the light is on.
Just return it dude, something ain’t right.
Now this may sound mean or insulting but I don’t mean it that way at all. Are you using the proper power supply?
Also: did you mess with the internal trim pots?
yeah, im using the power supply that came with it, and the only thing i’ve touched on the inside is the trim control.
Did it still not work before you changed the trim?
yeah, the trim seems to work because when I turn it down the signal leaves completely.
