I bought a micro q-tron a couple months ago, and I’m having an issue that I hope you can somehow help me resolve. The output when the pedal is engaged is WAY hotter than the output in bypass. I mean, very much so! I looked inside to see if there was some kind of internal level control, but there isn’t. Could it be that I got a defective pedal, or that it is in need of repair? Or is that just the way these pedals were designed? I didn’t notice it as much when I tried it out at the store. If other people haven’t had issues with this, then I can only assume that my pedal is defective in some way, and I should get it repaired or replaced. I love the way the pedal sounds, but this level issue makes it very difficult to use in a live setting. Please let me know what I should do, thanks!
Are you running other effects with it?
I have a Q-tron+ and if I put certain pedals in front (especially distortion) it can make the signal comming out of the Q-tron+ hotter. I just changed the order of my pedals and the problem was solved. I’ve noticed that other envelope followers do the same thing.
