Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Micro Pog noise with Rickenbacker 4003 bass
I have several EHX effects that I use in a custom pedalboard including the Micro Pog. I also have many basses, some with single coil pick ups and some with humbuckers. The problem is when I use the Pog with the Rickenbacker, it makes this horrible noise. Yes, it has single coil pu’s, yes they are high gain, but yet none of the other basses ie: Fender Jazz make any noticable increase in noise when that pedal is engaged. In asking this question, I suppose we can guess that each manufacturer will blame it on the other guy! I just need an honest answer to solve the problem!
If it’s a humming/buzzing noise than it’s most likely the Bass.
I have a Rickenbacker 4003 (1 Toaster/1 Hi-Gain) & a Fender ’75 Jazz Bass.
The Rickenbacker always buzzes/hums more.
