HELLO EHX TECHNICIANS I’M WRITING TO YOU IN ORDER TO GET SOME ANSWERS IN WHAT DID I DO WRONG, BECAUSE MY METAL MUFF GOT SOME OF THE PROBLEMS I SEE AROUND THE WEB LIKE NO LED AND NO SOUND POWER.
SINCE MY PEDAL HAD THAT PROBLEM I LOOKED AROUND THE WEB AND I FOUND THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE.
I’LL EXPLAIN MY CONFIGURATION: GUITAR – CRYBABY WAH – METAL MUFF – MEMORY TOY – AMP.
ALL THESE THREE PEDALS WITH A 9V 1000mA ADAPTER SERIAL CONECTED. SOME TIME AROUND A MONTH MY METAL MUFF DIED.
I KNOW THAT MEMORY TOY CONSUMES 25 mA, METAL MUFF CONSUMES 200 mA, AND THE CRYBABY IS A LOW CONSUMER BUT WHAT WAS MY PROBLEM, THE ONLY THING I GUESS COULD HAPPENED IS THAT MEMORY TOY DEMANDED SO MUCH AMPERAGE THAT THE METAL MUFF CRASHED, BUT I USED A 1000 mA ADAPTER DIVIDED IN THREE PEDALS.
PLEASE CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT DO I NEED TO DO NEXT BECAUSE MY METAL MUFF IS BEING REPARED AND I DON’T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN
SINCERILLY
SEBASTIAN C
First, find out from your repairman what the problem was with the Metal Muff. It may not have anything to do with the adapter.
OK SO I CAN CONNECT THIS AGAIN THE WAY I DID?
AND IN RESPONSE OF YOUR REPLY I GUESS THIS GENERAL PROBLEM IS A FACTORY PROBLEM OF SOME METAL MUFF PEDALS THAT WENT WRONG IN PRODUCTION
I suppose it’s OK.
Please turn your caps lock off in future posts.
Also, we’re not EHX technicians, just enthusiasts who occasionally dabble in repair/mods. EHX technicians can be contacted at http://newsensor.com/CutomerServices.aspx
But we do play them on television.
The all caps makes it very hard to read your posts.
As far as I know, not getting enough amperage can’t break a pedal.
