i bought a metal muff new and i have had it for a few months and i thought the problem was my active pick ups. I just bought a new Jackson soloist with emg hz (non active) and have the same problem. i have tried, new cables, switching from the power supply cable to a 9v battery, different guitar/amp and i cannot get rid of this noise. is it possible there is something wrong with the box??
hello, i own this unit, and have used it many times with active and passive pickups with no issues like you mention. at first i would assume it is faulty, and i would return it for a new one or have it repaired.
but you also need to take into consideration what other pedals your using with it, and what your signal chain is.
can you give us a run down on your chain (ie : guitar>pedal>pedal>pedal>amp) so we may help you find any possible issues first.
it is the only pedal i’m using. how do i go about sending it in for repair? is it a warranty issue?
