Hi all, I have had my Memory Toy for around a month now, and it has had no heavy use, so I’m not sure what could have caused the pedal to go wrong. The pedal worked perfectly fine until the battery it came with ran out. I’m now running the pedal with a power supply (yes, it’s the right one) and all I can get the pedal to do is turn on, and the “Blend” pot only works as a volume control. Turning clockwise lowers the volume, anti clockwise raises it. Switching on the modulation or tinkering with the other pots has no effect. I’ve seen similar threads to this, but none of the answers given there have been of any use. I don’t think it could be the nifty electronics inside, as it’s had only very gentle use. What’s the problem here, and what can I do to solve this? Thanks in advance! (:

-EDIT- I should also mention that I’ve had my Little Big Muff for the same amount of time and it’s taken more of a beating and works perfectly, on the same power supply.

what’s the milliamp rating on your power supply?

600mA. It powers my Little Big Muff just fine though.

and you aren’t daisy chaining it to other effects or anything? I mean, generally, you want to at least supply double the amperage of what you’re expecting to power it with, so the LBM takes about 6mA; looking in the current draw thread, the Memory boy takes ~25mA. It could be something wrong with the jack. Have you tried it on a battery clip to adapter?

Thanks for your help! I’ve checked the jacks, and the inputs themselves, which are all working fine. I haven’t tried what you said about the battery clip to adapter, but I’ll try it out. I have a feeling that it may just be my choice of power supply. I’ll but a proper EHX one, see if that makes a difference. Thank you very much for your help (:
