    Hey Everyone!

I just ordered one of the new EH Memory Toys. I haven’t used one yet but figured I’d order because the price is right. I’ve been tempted for quite some time to order a Carbon Copy but since finding out about this new EH MT that’s been put off. :-)

I’m real excited to try out this new Toy! I’ve always been a big fan of EH so giving the reputation, I don’t think I have anything to lose. I’m also interested in purchasing the new Memory Boy as well. Yes, can’t get enough of the EH. I’ll post when item arrives to give a review. Thanks for reading!

That’s cool… Let us know what you think.

I am really interested in picking up a memory boy with the added use with expression pedal.

I will definitely let you know what I think about the Memory Toy. Its a very basic set up but theres something to be said about the simplicity of pedals like this. I really like the basic features because it lets me take full control of the pedal live, over trying to reset a pedal with a million options on them. All the pedals in my set up are consistent with basic features. I save all the toying around for the studio. Cheers!

I don’t mean to thread jack, but mine was delivered in the mail yesterday. TOTALLY AWESOME! I’m still tweaking settings to find ones that I like, but so far I’m totally impressed. I think the one thing I haven’t quite found a use for is the modulation switch. It kinda sounds like a slow pulsing detune effect. But otherwise… TOTALLY AWESOME!

    Hey Jaylow,

What’s up? :-) Not a problem on the thread jack, I posted this so I could get some feedback on this pedal no matter good or bad. Mine is on its way through the mail so I should have it by Monday. Glad to hear you are really digging yours though! Makes me that much more excited. Until mine comes, I guess all I have is to discuss through here which is cool too. I’ll be posting my thoughts as well as soon as mine shows up.

    Hey Nep,

When you get yours, let me know if you find a use for the mod effect. So far, it’s the only thing that bothers me about the pedal. Not a major issue though since I find that the delays sound great!

Yeah, no problem man! I’ll definitely let ya know. I’m sure I won’t be using that much as I bought it primarily for the delay. Added features are a bonus though, and total fun to play around with!

So..I finally received the EH Memory Toy today in the mail. I plugged it in as soon as it came. Man!! I got to tell you, I am HIGHLY impressed! Wow, this thing sounds niiiiiice. As I mentioned before, I’ve already owned a few of the EH Memory Man pedals in the past, so I kind of had to keep my expectations low since I use to love that pedal. Man, was I thrown through a loop ( no pun intended ) when I plugged this in. This pedal sounds very warm, tight and defined as I know the analog sound. In such a very basic design, this pedal delivers all the goods that I used on the Memory Man at a very affordable price. Since I’m a big fan of analog delay, I may even pick up a second just to have on the road with me. Tomorrow I’ll be back to post a more descriptive review on the pedal but I thought I would stop in real quick to let everyone know that you don’t have to hesitate on this pedal. Once again, EH does not disappoint.

Does the memory toy have a volume drop like the #1 Echo? Please answer, I have already my #1 on sale to get the toy.

    Hi,
    just got my Memory Toy.
Good impressions so far: nice self-oscillation (the kind of spacey-noisy one wich I love, though it can be subtle also), beautiful modulation (it depends on the internal adjustment but I haven’t felt the need to mess with it), great overall sound.
No volume drop wich I notice, maybe the opposite, I’m not sure.
Regarding this there’s something you need to be aware of: the “blend” control, past half position, reduces the “dry” volume in favor of the pure “wet” signal (as well as the Hazarai etc.), wich is a natural function of these pedals.
    Great job EHX!

    Hi again,
I’ve just uploaded a demo of just the pedal, straight to the soundcard and encoded 192 kpbs, focusing on self-oscillation and general “weird” aspects of the pedal. Sorry for the not-properly-tuned guitar :)

I didn’t check to see if anyone mentioned this already, but there is a trimpot inside that allows you to adjust the depth of the modulation. If your unit sounds too seasick for your taste, try adjusting the trimpot clockwise a bit.

No volume drop that I’ve noticed. Works fine with my Little Big Muff and my amps overdrive for the way that I use my Memory Toy. Best bet is to drop by your local music shop and see if you can test out the pedals you want.
