My Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai is not behaving!!! Good little robots do what they’re told, right? Not this one! It rebels.
Here’s what it’s doing-
It won’t hold a preset. That means I click the white button down to access a saved preset in any of the modes (green Preset LED is lit solidly), and after a random time the little guy drops the preset by itself and reverts to the sound all the other knobs would produce (flashing green Preset LED).
It’s acting like one of the knobs has been turned, which cancels the preset sound and goes to the knobs’ settings. But nobody is touching the knobs! Sometimes it will hold a preset for an hour, other times less than a second. It doesn’t matter if I’m playing or not. It doesn’t matter if the unit has a cable plugged into it or not.
All the other functions are working correctly which is cool, but I use the presets a lot. Very necessary!!!
HEEEELLLLLLP!
Anyone else had this issue and found a solution?
Any help is super appreciated! Gotta fix my little robot!!!Timi

What are you using to power the Hazarai?
November 25, 2015 at 6:10 pm #121028TimiMemberThanks for the inquiry. I use a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus.

The way it’s behaving though… seems like maybe a bad chip. I’m guessing.
Thanks for your attention!November 25, 2015 at 6:45 pm #121030Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorQuote:Thanks for the inquiry. I use a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus.Which output port on the Voodoo Labs are you using? The Hazarai must be connected to outputs 5 or 6 and the DIP switch associated with the port you are using must be set to the off position.

Flick, thanks for this tip. In fact, I have had the pedal plugged into output 4. I went ahead and tried both outputs 5 and 6, with the DIP set to Normal. (Is that what you mean by “off”? Page 5 of the Pedal Power manual seems to show the DIP switches as Normal=OFF.
http://www.voodoolab.com/manuals/pedal_power_2plus_manual.pdf )The pedal still won’t hold a preset. I tried it with the DIP switch in the other position… same result.
Tried a different connector cable too… no difference.
Is there anything else I can try?

Another thing worth trying is to use the original AC Adapter that the Hazarai was supplied, if you still have it?
November 25, 2015 at 9:05 pm #121035TimiMemberSorry I don’t have that adapter to try.
I’ve tried the Voodoo Labs on your recommended settings, a Signal-Flex, and at least 3 other generic 9v adapters.. unfortunately the pedal is still malfunctioning with all.

Ok, it sounds like it is a bad unit and the Hazarai needs to be repaired. Where are you located?
